Best in the Bluegrass Internship/Scholarship Initiative

Making Connections Before They Leave

Funded by the Bluegrass Business Development Partnership, this initiative is aimed at high-performing students in Fayette County Schools, who are going to college outside of Kentucky. Before they leave, we want them to know that the Central Kentucky region has a wide variety of companies with high-level, high-tech and interesting career opportunities…we connect them to a great experience! Students who are selected are connected with a high level 4-6 week internship/mentoring opportunity and will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Students are eligible to return for successive internships.

Companies that have offered internships in the past include

    Cardinal Hill
    Central Kentucky Riding for Hope
    Central Baptist Hospital
    Davis & Plomin Mechanical Engineering
    Downtown Lexington Corporation
    Eastern State Hospital
    Elan Home Systems
